about Profhilo Treatment
Profhilo is an injectable treatment that contains a very high concentration of non-crosslinked hyaluronic acid. It boosts skin quality, elasticity, texture and hydration.
Some people think of it as the ultimate “injectable moisturiser” but it also works at a cellular level to bio-remodel the skin for a tightening effect over time.
Profhilo is a treatment that helps you achieve better skin health and quality. It will not change your facial expressions (like “botox”) or replace volume (like dermal fillers). It will simply help your skin to look the best it can be.

“As part of my job, I have to attend lots of high-profile events and I had started to dread them as I felt my skin looked old and tired! After seeing Dr Hannah, she suggested that I would benefit from Profhilo treatments. I was so impressed. I noticed a difference very quickly – my skin was much fresher and brighter. I just looked better in a completely natural way. I would definitely recommend it.”

What is Profhilo?
Profhilo is a unique injectable skin booster. It contains one of the highest concentrations of hyaluronic acid on the marker. Hyaluronic acid is a substance naturally found in our skin and tissues which helps to lubricate and moisturise. As we age, our fibroblasts make less hyaluronic acid and so skin can appear lax, dull and dry. Hyaluronic acid is a common ingredient in topical skincare but when applied on the surface of the skin, it is harder for it to work. Profhilo is an injectable form of hyaluronic acid which means it can be placed directly in the skin to give a surge of moisture. It also bio-remodels the skin to encourage new collagen production.
Is Profhilo the same as dermal filler?
No. Profhilo and dermal fillers are both made of hyaluronic acid but with Profhilo, the HA is non-cross linked. This means it acts an intense moisturiser but does not give structure or volume like dermal fillers.
This means that your results will never look “unnatural” because Profhilo is simply improving the health and appearance of your skin.
Why is Profhilo more expensive than other skin boosters?
Profhilo is a unique skin booster because it contains one of the highest concentrations of hyaluronic acid on the market. It has patented NAHYCO technology which creates different molecular weights of hyaluronic acid and binds them with heat treatment (rather than chemical agents), therefore making the product more pure. It is clinically proven to stimulate bio-remodelling of the skin as well as re-hydration.
How many treatments of Profhilo do I need?
It is recommended to have an initial course of two treatments, approximately 1 month apart. A maintenance single treatment every 4 -6 months is then advised to maintain results.
Is Profhilo painful?
Most people do not need any numbing cream before Profhilo. Some people find it a little stingy during the injection but it is only momentary. Dr Hannah will use different techniques to make the treatment as comfortable as possible. For the face, only 10 injection points are needed so the treatment is over very quickly!
What does Profhilo treat?
Profhilo will help to improve:
- Skin laxity
- Dull and dehydrated skin
- Fine lines and wrinkles
- Tired looking skin
Can I use Profhilo with other treatments?

It also works very well with other treatments such as “botox”, dermal fillers and SkinPen.
Can men have Profhilo?
Profhilo is a great treatment for everyone with skin! It doesn’t matter how you identify your gender. Profhilo is a great treatment for men because it’s a way to ensure your skin is being looked after without the need for complex at home skincare regimens.
